Hint: It’s not just about what’s in your bag — it’s about what you’re ready to leave behind.
You’ve booked your boudoir session (yay!), and now you’re planning all the fun details: what to wear, how to style your hair, and which heels give you main character energy. But while there’s a lot you can bring to enhance your experience… there are also a few things better left at home — physically and emotionally.
Let’s talk about what not to bring to your boudoir session so you can walk in feeling free, powerful, and fully present.
Your body doesn’t need to shrink, change, or be “ready” to be worthy of beautiful photos.
Come as you are — because the real you is already enough. Boudoir is about celebrating you, not fitting into someone else’s version of perfect.
If it cuts, rides up, or makes you feel like you can’t breathe — leave it out.
Your comfort = confidence. Choose pieces that make you feel sexy and supported. When you feel good, it shows in every frame.
Boudoir sessions are deeply personal. Bringing friends or partners can sometimes add pressure instead of support. Unless we’ve discussed otherwise, this is your time — a private moment just for you.
Seriously — leave her at the door.
You are not too old, too curvy, too shy, or too “anything.” You are you — and that’s exactly who this session is meant to honor. The more grace you give yourself, the more magic we’ll create together.
It’s tempting to pack your entire closet, but trust your prep guide. Too many choices can feel overwhelming during the session. We’ll plan your looks in advance so you can focus on feeling amazing — not on decision fatigue.
If your package includes professional makeup, arrive with a clean, moisturized face. Let your artist work their magic from a fresh canvas!
Let. That. Go.
This is your space to take up room, own your power, and shine unapologetically. You are allowed to feel sexy, bold, loud, soft, wild — or all of the above. There’s no wrong way to show up.
Boudoir is less about what you bring and more about what you let go of. When you walk through those studio doors, you’re stepping into a space created for you — where confidence isn’t required to start, but it always shows up by the end.
So come light. Come free. Come ready to fall in love with yourself.
