Makeup is always customized. Some clients love a natural, glowy look. Others want smoky eyes, bold lashes, or something a little more sultry. There’s no “one-size-fits-all” here—your look is built around you, not a trend.

Why We Style Hair Down (and Why It Matters)

For most sessions, we keep hair down—and yes, it’s very intentional.

Hair down gives us movement, softness, and versatility. It allows your hair to become part of the story: something to toss, pull through your fingers, drape over your shoulders, or frame your face in a way that feels effortless and powerful. In other words, your hair becomes a prop—one that adds depth, texture, and emotion to your images.

Even though your hair is worn down, it is fully styled. We’ll curl it, add beach waves, or enhance volume depending on your hair type and the look we’re creating. If you have naturally curly or wavy hair, we typically straighten it first—this allows us to restyle it throughout the session and gives us the most flexibility for posing and movement.

The only time we style hair up is for creative or highly stylized shoots where the concept calls for it. Otherwise, down and flowing is where the magic lives.
