Its okay..... to be a lot

💫 It’s Okay to Be a Lot

How many times in your life have you been told—or made to feel—that you were too much?

Too loud.
Too emotional.
Too intense.
Too sensitive.
Too opinionated.
Too ambitious.
Too confident.
Too sexy.
Too bold.

Somewhere along the way, the message became loud and clear: Tone it down. Shrink a little. Fit in. Be easier to handle. Be less.

And so we did.
We started questioning ourselves. We made our voices quieter, our dreams smaller. We apologized for our laughter, our opinions, our bodies, our presence. We watered ourselves down just to be more “palatable” to the world around us.

But here’s what I want you to know, deep in your bones:

Being “a lot” is not something you need to fix. It’s something you need to celebrate.

Being a lot means you feel deeply. You care passionately. You speak with purpose.
It means you take up space—not just physically, but emotionally and energetically.
It means you know your worth, even if you’re still learning how to fully live it out.
It means you're not afraid to break rules that were never made for you to begin with.

In my work as a boudoir photographer, I’ve seen what happens when women start to reclaim the parts of themselves they were told were “too much.” I’ve watched them step into the studio nervous, self-conscious, unsure… and leave feeling powerful, radiant, alive.

Because when you stop apologizing for who you are and start embracing it—that’s when the real transformation happens.

You are allowed to be big, bold, messy, complex, loud, emotional, radiant, sensual, smart, soft, fierce—all at once.
You are allowed to be too much for the wrong people and still just right for yourself.

Being “a lot” means you have presence. You have passion. You have a pulse.
Don’t you ever dim that to make others more comfortable.

If someone tells you you're too much, maybe it's because they were never meant to hold something as expansive as you.
Let that be their limitation, not yours.

Take up space. Be a lot. Be all of you.
Because the world doesn't need more women who fit in.
It needs more women who show up fully—unapologetically, and on fire.
